GQBERHA,(CAJ News)– THE Betway Premiership delivered a packed Easter programme with decisive results shaping both the title race and relegation battle.

Across Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday fixtures, leading sides maintained momentum, but the standout encounter came on Easter Monday as Kaizer Chiefs defeated Orbit College FC 3–1.

Orbit College made a bright start, taking the lead through Mbulelo Wagaba midway through the first half.

However, Chiefs responded with resilience and quality. Wandile Duba equalised just before the break, shifting momentum.

In the second half, Mduduzi Shabalala put Chiefs ahead with a composed finish, before Siphesihle Ndlovu sealed the victory late on with a clinical third goal.

The result is highly significant. Chiefs strengthened their position in the top four, reinforcing their push for CAF competition qualification.

With the season entering its final stretch, such away victories are vital in maintaining pressure on rivals.

For Orbit College, the defeat deepens their relegation concerns, leaving them firmly among the bottom sides fighting for survival.

AmaZulu FC also maintained strong form, consolidating their place among the leading contenders, while Durban City FC and Sekhukhune United stayed firmly in the hunt for top eight finishes.

Following the Easter round, the league standings reflect an intense battle.

Pirates and Sundowns remain neck-and-neck at the top, with AmaZulu and Chiefs occupying crucial top-four positions.

The top eight is currently rounded out by Durban City, Sekhukhune United, Polokwane City and Golden Arrows, with only a few points separating several mid-table sides.

At the bottom end, Orbit College, Chippa United, Marumo Gallants and Magesi FC are locked in a tense relegation scrap, where every remaining match could determine survival.
