Pirates, Arrows hold MTN8 edge

JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – THE MTN8 semi-finals reach their decisive second leg stage this weekend, with Orlando Pirates and Golden Arrows holding precious advantages after impressive first-leg victories.

On Saturday, Orlando Pirates host Sekhukhune United at Orlando Amstel Arena, protecting a slender 1-0 lead earned in Polokwane.

Deon Hotto’s goal gave the defending champions a crucial away victory, while Pirates extended their unbeaten MTN8 run to 11 matches.

The Buccaneers have since strengthened their confidence by beating Sekhukhune 2-0 in a midweek Betway Premiership encounter.

Their challenge is scoring without becoming vulnerable to Arrows’ counter-attacks.
