Most Americans reject Iran war

Iran ballistic missiles hit the US military installations in the Middle East

TEHRAN, (CAJ News) MANY Americans, about 68 percent of them, do not approve of President Donald Trump’s “senseless” and “unprovoked” war of choice against Iran, which to date has claimed the lives of 17 American soldiers.

Just over the past weekend, three American soldiers were killed when Iran retaliated against the United States’ war of choice, while more than 100 others were injured, with US military bases in the Middle East, mainly in Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), facing a barrage of retaliatory attacks from Iran.

This follows the US launching what has been described as unprovoked attacks on southern Iran in an attempt to coerce Tehran into entering a peace deal, something the United States is alleged to have violated on numerous occasions.

Before the US-Israel joint military aggression against Iran, the highly contested Strait of Hormuz was open and accessible to the entire world, with oil tankers and other maritime traffic passing through it.

However, out of the blue, the US and Israel falsely accused Iran of possessing nuclear weapons, before unleashing joint military aggression, prompting Iran’s harsh response, forcing US warships to retreat.

Iran’s sharp and heavy retaliation forced the US to consider diplomacy over military action, but again, on more than three occasions, the US violated the peace negotiations and backstabbed Iran by attacking it again while in the middle of peace discussions.

This is the main reason why more than 68 percent of Americans do not approve of what they described as a “barbaric”, “senseless” and “unprovoked” war of choice, which to date has cost the United States more than $20 billion that could have been channelled towards development.

As if that was not enough, social media was abuzz with commentators such as Larry Larry saying: “America got away with so many wars but finally met with huge resistance (from Iran). War has evolved. The same strategy that worked in Iraq (lying about possessing weapons of mass destruction) is obsolete in today’s asymmetric warfare. Drones and hypersonic missiles have made US carriers of little use.”

Parsa Khan remarked: “Great News. America deserves to be hit back in some measure at least like the American missile strikes on schools, hospitals, universities killing countless innocents across Iran, Palestine, Lebanon and Syria,” while Teejay Tajudine declared: “America will pay for Iran’s reconstruction and pay for the weapon replacement. The world must dedollarize.”

S “Syl” weighed in: “People stopped believing in the United States on September 11, 2001. From that moment on we removed the veils that had covered our eyes and revealed its true nature; since then, the US has been nothing more than an imperialist, warmongering state with no credibility.”

Furkan Gözükara stated: “US allies are completely refusing to join a ground invasion of Iran, simply walking away. Even worse, the Pentagon depleted so many bombs they literally cannot launch a massive assault!”
